John Hodges has a wide range of experience in the production/post-production/and education fields. With 20 years of experience at Virginia Public Television, John rose from Production Assistant to Producer/Director to Production Manager. As Producer of Virginia Outdoors, John received many awards including The Telly Award and Virginia Association of Broadcasters Best Documentary. Hodges also earned an Emmy nomination for his work on In the Garden with The Viettes.

Since 1999, John has been Technology Manager for the School of Media Arts and Design at James Madison University. He is currently working on his Masters in Educational Technology and should be finished by...well what's the rush?

Teaching others about the magic of video and multimedia production has been a passion of his for years. You can find him teaching as an adjunct professor at JMU, as a video merit badge counsellor for Boy Scouts or in a local high school television studio.

John has edited using a Sony RM440, CMX 340, Grass Valley VPE-41, Media 100, and now, Final Cut Pro. John is also an Apple Certified Instructor.
