Dr. Johnson was a newspaper photographer/reporter for 2 years and worked in public relations for a university for one year. He also worked as a producer/director/cinematographer for Mississippi Authority for Public TV for 7 years. Besides teaching at JMU, Dr. Johnson has taught at the University of Southern Mississippi, Arkansas State University, and the University of Tennessee - Knoxville.

Teaching Interests: Media legal, technology, and privacy issues

Research/Creative Activities: Interactive media, photography, amateur radio, and legal issues
