Teresa began her employment at James Madison University in November 1980, working in the office at the Television/Film Center in Harrison Hall on the second floor. Throughout her career with the Center, the name was changed to Television Production Center and then Media Production Center. Teresa's employment with the Center lasted 19 years.

In July 1999, the Media Production Center was merged with the School of Media Arts and Design. The next month, Teresa moved into the School of Media Arts and Design office, which at the time was located in Anthony-Seeger. Due to traffic/pedestrian problems on South Main Street, the decision was made to move the School of Media Arts and Design to the Modular Building in August 2000. Teresa moved again, this time to the Modular Building with the rest of the SMAD Staff/Faculty. During summer 2005, Teresa moved back to the newly renovated Harrison Hall, this time on the Ground floor. On November 17, 2005, Teresa came to a milestone in her career at James Madison University celebrating 25 years of service
