SMAD Professors and Students Win Aegis Awards

Posted by SMAD April 27, 2009 In April, three SMAD professors, assisted by SMAD majors, won Aegis Awards for two high-definition video productions. Professor Rustin Greene, with SMAD junior Colin Greene, produced “Life Changing … Without a Doubt,” a 10-minute program promoting JMU’s Semester in London. The award was in the promotional/sales category. The QuickTime video can be viewed at http://smad.jmu.edu/greenerp/SIL/SIL.m4v Professors M. Joseph Hinshaw and Mike Grundmann, with SMAD senior Scott Graham and SMAD senior Heather Elliott, produced “Geometry Rules,” a 15-minute program for middle-schoolers showing real-world applications of geometry. The award was in the educational category. The Aegis Awards, in their 20th year, are a top grade of peer-reviewed competition in which media professionals use a point-scoring system to evaluate entries. |
