Evan Dyson and Curio Win SPJ Awards

HARRISONBURG, Va. -- SMAD Major and Breeze Managing Editor Evan Dyson has won two firsts, three seconds and a third place for his photos in the regional conference of the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ).

Curio also won a first as best feature magazine and the articles on mountaintop removal and Haiti also won first and second for best magazine articles. You can see Evan's shots and more on his cool new blog site below.

The four first-place winners from JMU now will compete with the other regional winners in the national competition.
