Out in the Silence

Mark your calendars for the viewing/discussion of the award-winning film Out in the Silence. The gripping documentary centers on the story of a small American town confronting a firestorm of controversy ignited by a same-sex wedding announcement in the local newspaper and the brutal bullying of a gay teen. The Philadelphia Enquirer called the film "stunning."

The viewing will take place in James Madison University's Health and Human Services Building (room 2301) between 7:00-8:00 p.m. on April 4 (Monday). The filmmakers will respond to questions and lead a discussion between 8:00-9:30. The event is free and open to the public.
