No serious writer of the twentieth century has more thoroughly invaded and shaped the public imagination than Graham Greene. Paul Gray, Time magazine

American writer-director Thomas O'Connor is in production for a 90-minute documentary on British author Graham Greene, hosted by Sir Derek Jacobi.

Titled Dangerous Edge, the documentary uses Greene's own words from his books and recordings, as well as photographs and clips from his many films, to reveal the fascinating life of one of the great writers of the twentieth century.

“Considering Greene's worldwide literary stature and colorful life,” O'Connor said, “it's remarkable that there hasn't been an American produced in-depth documentary on him until now.”

Mr. O'Connor, an Emmy-winning writer-producer and a professor at James Madison University in Virginia, has been researching, writing and conducting interviews for three years.

Photographed on high-definition video with an anticipated 2011 release date, the documentary features a distinguished cast and an award winning crew.

The cast includes John Le Carre, Sydney Pollack, psychologist Kay Jamison, critic David Lodge, Time correspondent Bernard Diederich, former CIA Inspector General Fredrick Hitz, and Greene's daughter Caroline Bourget.

A distinguished production crew accompanies O'Connor's production, such as executive producer Barbara De Fina (GoodFellas, The Age of Innocence), cinematographer Allen Moore (The Civil War, Baseball), and London based sound engineer Trevor Hotz (Operatunity).
