Created by professor Tom McHardy, this site takes users through various technical and production aspects of high definition television. The project won 1st place in the "Teaching Sites" category of the Association for Education in Journalism & Mass Communication (AEJMC) Juried Web Design Competition, held in Toronto in September 2004.

The Video Exposure Control Tutorial was created by professors Steve Anderson and Joe Hinshaw. This project won the Best of Festival award in the "2004 BEA Festival of Media Arts" in Las Vegas. It was judged to be the top award among 33 submissions in the "Faculty Interactive Multimedia Competition." The tutorial takes users through the experience of adjusting a camera and lights based on different lighting and exposure challenges.

This is an online tutorial on depth of field created by professors Joe Hinshaw and Steve Anderson. The tutorial won two national awards; Best of Show in the 2002 BEA Faculty Interactive Multimedia Competition (BEA Festival of Film, Video and Media Arts) and second place (out of 27 entries) in the teaching sites category of the 2002 AEJMC Best of the Web Competition.

VR-reporter is an interactive simulation of television newsgathering created by Tom McHardy. Students use the CD-ROM to explore a 360° crime scene. Tom's project received the Best of Show award in the 2001 BEA Faculty Interactive Multimedia Competition and has been published by First Light Video Publishers.

This online learning simulation enables introductory video production students to independently explore basic lighting cause and effect. Created by professor Rustin Greene, it received 2nd Place in the 1998 Broadcast Education Association's Interactive Multimedia Competition.
